Mother arrived on the shores of Glasgow in March 2003.

In his possession were three songs produced by the now fictional Eddy Ready. With these he hoped to sell his unique vision of the world to the leading moguls of the age.

After many months waiting in the arms of a woman he then decided to settle down with a small independent concern who prospered on the fringes of the known civilised world.

Chemikal underground had tempted Mother away from other bigger, richer men with their promise that Mother would be able to operated in an uncontrolled and haphazard manner.

The Addicts were found.

They are Ian Cronan, percussionist. Expressive, disciplined, found at a party. Next arrived Peter Vallely, bass guitarist.

Gentle, a thinker, found outside. Douglas, guitarist, followed.

Paint manipulator and record collector, he was found in a DJ booth looking at pictures. Finally Kendal, sampler. Foreign, difficult- a dear friend who had never been near any music.

Five near strangers were forced to cooperate.

Their geography is in the region of Scotland.

They have ridden the passage to manhood without out affliction but adolescence waves goodbye as it departs from behind their shoulders, for some the wave is more distant than others...
